Adia Chan Returns to the Spotlight with Signature Stage Glamour

I can’t recall the exact year, but I once interviewed Adia (陳松伶). After that, she seemed to vanish from the spotlight—no media appearances, no performances. Then one day, she resurfaced in a musical reality show on Beijing Satellite TV called King of Cross-Boundary Singers(跨界歌王). Seeing Adia revive her stage brilliance was pure joy. With love and tears in her eyes, she dedicated the moving song “That Man”(那個男人) to her husband Zhang Duo (張鐸). The heartfelt performance touched everyone present and quickly circulated across YouTube and Chinese media platforms.
She admitted that publicly sharing her past meant overcoming a major psychological hurdle. More than personal strength, she says faith gave her the courage to confront these memories. God's constant message comforted her deeply: “I will not let you face a challenge you cannot overcome.”
Adia describes her husband, Zhang Duo, as a gift from God. “His presence made me feel truly blessed. He embodies silent love and quiet strength. Whenever I became overwhelmed, impulsive, or unraveled, he was there beside me. That quiet devotion holds immense power—he became a safe harbor for my heart. Thanks to his support, I’m no longer a lonely bird with just one wing. I now soar with two wings—maybe even more.”
She credits her wings to not only Zhang Duo but also her family, close friends, silent companions, and fans who’ve supported her over the years. “Their deep love became the feathers on my wings. As they grow fuller, the version of me standing on stage grows stronger, more radiant, and more resolute.”
She continued having strange, symbolic dreams. In one, she stood on a small planet and looked skyward as clouds shaped themselves into a giant, awe-inspiring face. That same day in kindergarten, she saw a textbook image of Jesus—long hair, a beard—and froze. It was the same face from her dream.
From that moment, the image of Jesus was deeply imprinted on her heart.

“From age 14 to university, I lived a dual life of work and study. I was filming dramas like The Greed of Man (笑看風雲) or 92 Zhong Wu Yan(九二鍾無艷)—life was fast-paced. But I’m grateful I didn’t make choices solely based on practicality. I prioritized my soul’s needs.”
Faith and spiritual growth remain Adia’s life foundation. They were especially transformative during a trying period. “God taught me to let go of what didn’t need to be remembered. I stopped clinging to the past. I used to be more reserved—now I speak freely. I no longer hide emotions or pile up emotional ‘clutter.’ Speaking out is joyful release—it’s helped me live lighter and freer.”
Adia now enjoys harmonious family relationships. Many of those knots have been gently untangled. “The reconciliation and understanding we share make everything feel meaningful.”
Having spent years living in Beijing, Adia now travels between cities. This time, she happened to be in Hong Kong. “Hong Kong is a place I’ll never leave—it’s my root. But that ‘root’ has expanded beyond its original ground, stretching to cities like Beijing and Hangzhou. Anywhere there’s love, memory, home, and emotion—those places become part of your root, part of your life’s extension. Over the past 10 to 20 years, my roots have quietly spread in many directions.”
Her international performances remain an important part of her life. She treats every show as an extension of her passion and professionalism—and a source of livelihood. “I treasure every chance to perform.”
Adia is especially proud of perfecting a few signature dishes for family gatherings. She’s studied earnestly with Michelin-grade chef and passionate friends, exchanging ideas and inspiration.
On September 27 and 28, Adia will co-host the Life Made Beautiful by Love Charity Gospel Concert(生命因愛動聽慈善福音演唱會)in San Francisco, alongside Mrs. Chiao (小金子). All proceeds will support the U.S. Charity Foundation’s outreach to underprivileged children and those with special needs.
“We hope familiar faces and voices—kind, trusted people—can help deliver uplifting messages,” Adia said. “I don’t see myself as the main character. I’m just a vessel, using music and lyrics to share peace and blessings. I’m simply creating a space filled with grace, using the gifts I’ve been given.”
She’s deeply grateful to partner with Mrs. Chiao. “She’s a spiritual elder, full of love and passion. Her story and her presence are a living testimony—an inspiration to the soul. May God use both of us to bless everyone attending.”
