Fruit of the Spirit-Peace

Creating a Sense of Atmosphere
This is the third piece in the “Spiritual Fruit” series—titled Peace, which may also be interpreted as Harmony. When we think of peace, we often envision a tranquil scene: calm waters, a mirror-like lake, undisturbed and serene. Yet the image I’ve portrayed is quite the opposite. The background is dry and cracked, streaked with black, orange, and blue—colors that clash and evoke a sense of desolation. Petals scatter in the wind, drifting outward. The figure’s hair is tossed by a storm, yet in their hand I’ve placed a peach, symbolizing peace. Unlike the previous two works, the fruit here is subtle and less pronounced. That’s because I’m not aiming to depict a literal fruit this time, but rather to evoke a deeper mood—a spiritual atmosphere. True Peace Comes from God
Now imagine being in such a harsh environment—facing career setbacks, being misunderstood, rejected, or even enduring serious illness—and still feeling a profound peace rising from within. This kind of peace isn’t something we can achieve through personal effort; it comes from entrusting everything into God’s hands. When we surrender our burdens to Him through prayer, our hearts can receive a peace that transcends circumstances. We can sleep soundly at night—not because the storm has passed, but because a divine calm has settled within us. That kind of peace—true peace—is a gift only God can give.
